Ok…so I have to admit…I had never tried any sort of Color Misting till Dawn presented this month’s Wplus9 Design “All Eyes On…Color Misting.” I was a little confused but went ahead and ordered some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist from Practicing Creativity’s website a couple of weeks ago. Can I just say WOAH – this stuff is AMAZING!!!! I’m in love!! My goodness…the fun that can be had with this stuff is dangerous!
I knew I wanted to create a fun fall card using Wplus9’s Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions gorgeous leaves as a background. I used some PTI Terra Cotta Tile, SU More Mustard & Pumpkin Pie Ink to create a warm fall background on some craft paper – and then spritzed it with the Vanilla Breeze Glimmer Mist. It really gives a warm sparkle to the paper that I love.
After playing with it a bit I thought of what could be a really cool way to incorporate this technique… and I thought I would try it with a Sixxix embossing die. And oh my goodness – how much fun! I sprayed a couple of random places on the die and then ran it through.
I just love how the embossing appears almost “richer” with this technique! And of course my paper is all nice and sparkly now!! I tried it first with my Vanilla Breeze Glimmer Mist on some Lemon Tart cardstock. I have a couple of more awesome combo’s I came up with that I’ll post in later blogs. But needless to say…this stuff is so much fun!
The final card really came together beautifully and I’m really happy. I’m not usually one to get “out of hand” with a technique – but I couldn’t put this stuff down!

I had MUCH similar inspiration form this "All Eyes On", sweet Ms. Kerrianne! What GREAT and totally addicting stuff this is! My mind is so greedy with craft, I wanted to TRY it alllllllll! Hee Hee Just shows us why Mrs. W has is GOING ON! What great fun to pass around blogland! Meanwhile… NICE CARD! Holy moly! You have hit the creative vein in a HUGE way, sweet sista! This is a card that, literally, makes my heart race! {And I'm just LOOKIN' at it!} What positively GORGEOUS work! Holy PUMPKIN LATTE, I'm in LOVE! You amaze me, talented girl! This is FANTASTIC!
LOVE what you've done here, Kerrianne! That little bit of shimmer adds so much to any creation… Don't ya think? Your fall colors leave me longing for a pumpkin pie. I think that it's about time for a trip to the pumpkin patch :).

One of my favs girl! This one is elegant and stunning, the misting on the embossing plate really adds SO much to that panel. LOVE it!
