Well it’s that time of the month again…Wplus9 Color Cue time!! For this month Dawn had us each pick out our own color swatches – How much fun!!!! For my project I was inspired by a gift card color combo I saw at Starbucks…(PTI equivalents in parentheses):

I used Ripe Avocado and Simply Chartreuse (Papertrey Ink) for my greens.
I wanted to use the gorgeous Poinsettia Patterns set for this card to create a vintage feeling Holiday card. I started off stamping the patterns with VersaMark on both the Ripe Avocado card stock base and some white card stock. I added some white embossing powder to the white card stock and went back over it with my Simply Chartreuse mini ink block.
I wiped away the remnants on the white embossed designs with a paper towel and it really gives it a different “washed” look. I then added some black jewels to the center of each little pattern.
For the sentiment placeholder I used a scrap of Simply Chartreuse ribbon and the fabulous frame design from Hannah’s All Occasion Tags set. Added a complimentary row of black jewels along the bottom of the sentiment…
I’m really happy with the final result…it still reminds me of a warm cup of cocoa at Starbucks 🙂
