Welcome to Day 1 of the Wplus9 Design February Release Sneak Peeks!!! I’m over the MOON for these GORGEOUS stamps this month. I’m sure you will be too! Dawn truly out did herself with these amazing lil beauties.
The first set we are revealing for the release today is Flora & Fauna…can you say AMAZING detail and drop dead gorgeous illustration?!?! One of my favorite stamps from the set is the gorgeous flower that is so intricately illustrated it is a piece of art all on it’s own! Dawn truly has a special talent for the ultimate in beautiful details. I just couldn’t put these babies down and actually have two cards for this one stamp that I’m in love with!
First, I wanted to really showcase the flower with simple details and an organic color combo. I started off with some purple card stock for the base and rounded the top corners. Then stamped the flowers and sentiments (from the Mehndi Medallions set) with some Tim Holtz Brown Distress Ink. I used some yellow Copic Markers to add just a little blending and depth to the flowers.
To finish it off I added some Glossy Accents for dew drops on the flower leaves and a two tone green ribbon from Stampin Up. Punched a lil butterfly from some purple striped card stock and wrapped the lil guy with some brown and white baker’s twine. And Viola! This is a perfect lil card for my mom’s birthday coming up next week! For my second card using the fabulous flower stamp from the Flora & Fauna Set – I started with a yellow card stock base cut and stamped with Versa Mark with the smaller flower stamp to add some pattern (you can’t really see it in the photos).
Then I stamped a frilly piece of green paisley card stock with the large flower stamp twice and used the extra pieces to “pop” the flower tips. LOVE this technique – especially with a fun patterned paper. Scallop punched the left side and wrapped with a Stampin Up salmon colored ribbon.
Adhered all the pieces to the base and finished the card off with some yellow buttons stuck on with mini glue dots.
So much fun…and I have SOOO Many other projects to show you for this release…can’t wait!!

Two lovely cards…I really like the simplicity of the first one, nice little touch with those water drops. I just got some glossy accents Yestarday and can't wait to use it. Love how the flowes pop out on that sencond card.
