Color Cue {15}

Well it’s that time again…time to get inspired by some fabulous colors from wPlus9 Design!

Here are May’s Color Cue picks:

Such fun and inspiring colors! April showers…bring May flowers, and beautiful blue skies ahead…

This card is inspired by the beautiful clouds in this fun patterned paper from DCWV’s Songbird Paper Pack (originally purchased at Michael’s). I wanted to make the card both fun, and whimsical, to celebrate my little sister moving into a new house all on her own! She’s so excited and I’m so happy for her!!

For the base I stamped some Barely Banana houses from All Occasion Tags on kraft paper to add a little more pattern and repeated the adorable focal piece house from the same wPlus9 set. Next, I used some Melon Mambo to stamp the fabulous sentiment from Filigreed Frames. Then cut out one of the fun clouds and popped it with some foam adhesive. I tucked a couple of pieces of ribbon and seam binding underneath for a little bow and then layered a yellow and teal button on top to finish it off. What do you think? I love this card and think it’s so fun for a housewarming gift!

Make sure you check out what the rest of the fabulous wPlus9 Design Team has up their sleeves’ for this month’s Color Cue:

And check out Dawn’s blog for deets on the new *additions* to the Color Cue winner’s announcements! Hope these colors inspire you and can’t wait to see all the beautiful creations you all come up with. Happy Stamping!
