A Very Special Day

So much exciting news to share with you today…Not only is it the first day of Wplus9’s October Release Sneak Peeks, but it is also World Card Making Day!

In honor of this wonderful holiday, Dawn from Wplus9 has graciously donated a special set for one of you lucky readers to win!

To start off the fun I will share with you the theme for this giveaway – a SWEET new technique that I discovered recently at a Scrapbook fair: Touchable Textures, including Flocking, Glitter, and just about anything to make your card not only beautiful, but touchable!

So yes…let’s get started! First, here is the Fabby set YOU have a chance to win! Winter Wishes, on Sale Oct. 5th!

And here is a little creation I made using that fabby set & the fun technique of Flocking.

In case you are asking yourself, what the heck is this flocking stuff she’s talking about?!? Well here are some deets:

Flocking is a fiber based powder that has a finished touch very similar to felt when added to cards. It can be added with just about any type glue or strong adhesive. For my card I stamped the mittens with red ink and covered the details with a glue pen. Shook the flocking over just like glitter and let it dry…and viola – some fuzzy & adorable mittens!

Here is a close-up of those little touchable mittens:

Make sure you submit your creation in the inlinkz below so YOU can get a set of Winter Wishes for FREE! Yes, one random participant will receive a set!

And make sure to check out the rest of the Wplus9 Design Team happenings over at Dawn’s site!
