Bachelorette Weekend

Well I’m finally getting a chance to post about all the FUN we had a couple of weeks ago for my bachelorette party. It was seriously the best girls trip ever! We had a blast and made some amazing memories. Most of all I was so thankful that 8 of my wonderful girlfriends were able to join for a whole weekend!

My best friend, Theresa, booked the gorgeous house in Savannah. It was just stunning! And we are pretty sure there was a ghost or two hanging out with us as well!

My sister, Laura, (MOH) was also a major planning queen with the weekend so I have to give her a shout out as well!

I knew I wanted to make something special for each of the girls…especially for taking a whole weekend for just little old me!

I started off stamping this adorable illustration and then used Copics to color each one in. 8 total, but here are just a couple of shots I grabbed before we headed out:

And for our “night out on the town” the girls all planned to wear all black with red accessories (and the Bride {me} in all red). So I spent [way to long] scouring stores for red jewelry. Here’s a snapshot of some those as well:

And here are some of us before we took over a karaoke bar:

And  probably my most favorite part of the weekend…I talked all of the ladies into doing some fun “saloon” photos!

Just priceless.

Thank YOU to all of you ladies who joined me on my last weekend as a “single woman”! It was more than I could have ever imagined and I am so blessed to have each and every one of you share our special day….it’s almost here! {{starting to FREAK out}}

Engagement Photos

Just wanted to share the BEAUTIFUL photos my good friend Becky took of Todd and I for our engagement. We had the kids tag along to get some family photos as well!

I love just each and every one! Here are just a few:

A Very Happy New Year!

Well I am finally back to reality…a nice long break proved to be absolutely refreshing. And exciting….My wonderful boyfriend proposed to me over New Year’s Eve weekend!!! I am so happy and so lucky – he’s a wonderful man and I can’t wait to say “I Do” to him!

Hope you had a wonderful Holiday as well and 2012 brings you many blessings & joy!

Ladies Night In

So a couple of weeks ago I planned a little craft night for me and some girlfriends. The goal was to crank out some Christmas cards and get our *craft on* – in which we succeeded! It was a blast and over 150 cards were created between 10 ladies. I was so busy eating, drinking, crafting and being merry I forgot to take some photos of the actual cards…and they are already in the mail – woops! But I wanted to share with you some candids from the fun night:

Check out those adorable Snowman Cake Pops my little sister Laura made – adorable! And see that sneaky lady peaking out the side, why yes, that’s Mrs. Wplus9 herself…Dawn! Thank you to all of you who joined us, and of course to Dawn for the fabulous door prizes and assistance with techniques. It was truly a wonderful evening and I hope to plan another event in the Spring! Merry Christmas!

Baby Shower Favors

I always seem to get *roped* into helping out my friends when it comes time to throw a shower {{even ones I don’t know the people having it!}} but I will use any excuse to get crafty with my girlfriends. Here are some fun Baby Shower favors we did for a recent Boy’s Birthday shower:

The name of the little bundle of joy hadn’t been selected so we opted for little “b’s” on each box. The boxes are from Michael’s and each have bath salts, and all kinds of goodies in each of them (I believe some candles too?) Hey speaking of that…why didn’t I get one?? LOL

Here is the final array…we stuck with the theme of yellow & aqua and I die cut the tags using Wplus9’s Label Layer’s 3 die.

We then took each and hole punched the sides to string the ribbon through. Also used a large hole punch to cut out the focal piece and stamped each with the large b’s. Of course some foam tape to give some depth…and viola!

Splish Splash Birthday Bash

We recently rented a huge water slide to celebrate my boyfriend’s son’s 5th birthday. And I had a blast coming up with a water / sea life / summer theme…

As usual my inspiration came from perusing the fabulous site Pinterest.com

Surprise Wedding Shower

So my first *Surprise* Shower was a blast! Had so much fun getting it all together to celebrate my mom’s big day. The idea was from my Aunt and she was SUPER helpful in working it all out. And how perfect…we told my mom it was “my Housewarming Party” —too funny!Here’s a glimpse of the invites I designed and then had printed. The theme was a summer BBQ for couples…I embellished each one with a bow and a lil’ bit of glitter in the center of the grill. {{shout out to my sis for helping out~!}}

Also, I had a blast creating some fun flower centerpieces and re-using some left over Easter cutlery… and monogrammed the napkins with her future last name initial.
Here is the shocked guest of honor…that mother’s intuition was a little too strong… she “had some suspicions” was still pretty surprised!
And of course a fun table spread with some punched butterflies and cute summer lanterns.
The happy couple…and I just adore the Hawaiian lei’s I found in her wedding colors!
Now to survive the wedding! Keep your fingers crossed for us! XOXO
{{and my Martha Stewart kick is over for a bit…I’m pooped!}}
Thank you as always for stopping by…what are some fun Bridal Shower ideas you’ve done or come across??

Easter Brunch

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter…I know I did! I had a little family & friend get-together yesterday for the kids and adults. The adults enjoyed a delish brunch {and of course Mimosas} while the kids had a BLAST hunting for eggs in my backyard. It truly was one of the best Easter’s I’ve ever had. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life.

Here are some of my favorite photos:
