Bachelorette Weekend

Well I’m finally getting a chance to post about all the FUN we had a couple of weeks ago for my bachelorette party. It was seriously the best girls trip ever! We had a blast and made some amazing memories. Most of all I was so thankful that 8 of my wonderful girlfriends were able to join for a whole weekend!

My best friend, Theresa, booked the gorgeous house in Savannah. It was just stunning! And we are pretty sure there was a ghost or two hanging out with us as well!

My sister, Laura, (MOH) was also a major planning queen with the weekend so I have to give her a shout out as well!

I knew I wanted to make something special for each of the girls…especially for taking a whole weekend for just little old me!

I started off stamping this adorable illustration and then used Copics to color each one in. 8 total, but here are just a couple of shots I grabbed before we headed out:

And for our “night out on the town” the girls all planned to wear all black with red accessories (and the Bride {me} in all red). So I spent [way to long] scouring stores for red jewelry. Here’s a snapshot of some those as well:

And here are some of us before we took over a karaoke bar:

And  probably my most favorite part of the weekend…I talked all of the ladies into doing some fun “saloon” photos!

Just priceless.

Thank YOU to all of you ladies who joined me on my last weekend as a “single woman”! It was more than I could have ever imagined and I am so blessed to have each and every one of you share our special day….it’s almost here! {{starting to FREAK out}}

Engagement Photos

Just wanted to share the BEAUTIFUL photos my good friend Becky took of Todd and I for our engagement. We had the kids tag along to get some family photos as well!

I love just each and every one! Here are just a few:

Thank YOU again & again Becky! XOXO

Green Thumb

So my latest project has been working on my green thumb…

:: Strawberries // Broccoli // Tomatoes // Bell Peppers ::

My favorite is my Jasmine I planted last year…It’s starting really blossom! And kudos to my mom for the tip to use an old wheel barrow for a potted plant stand! (she actually uses hers as a planter)

We had one *decomposing* in the shed and it’s been recycled quite beautifully if you ask me!

Savannah at Christmas

Happy New Year Everyone!! Just wanted to share some fun photos that I took while my sister and I were in Savannah last week. We took a short day trip up to the beautiful city and of course had the MOST delicious meal at Paula Deen’s restaurant “The Lady & Sons.” If you are ever in the gorgeous southern belle city make sure to make a reservation early…this place is jam packed and worth the wait!!

Gorgeous Nativity Scene in one of America’s Oldest Catholic Cathedrals.

Fried Green Tomatoes!! YUM!

My sister Laura and the delish cheddar biscuits & corn meal cakes!

New addition…Photography

It’s funny how when your friends find out you have a fabulous new ($$$) camera…they all the sudden need photos…for EVERYTHING…but hey…I am LOVING it! I forgot how much I loved photography. I took a class in college and other than the film development process, I felt so at home behind the camera. I still love to make appearances in front of it too…but sometimes it’s just more fun to make the *magic*

If you’ve noticed some changes to my blog…please stand by…working on growing it in a couple of ways, and one is to include some of my freelance projects. I have to say one of the great things about being single lately is all my free time to show of my skills!
Here are some photos from one of my best friend’s wedding a couple of weeks ago. I am truly happy with how they turned out and wanted to share them with you guys. I have a couple of other projects coming your way soon too!

And feel free to leave some love…it always makes my day to read your sweet comments!
