Baby Betty’s Nursery

I’ve been meaning to share my baby girl’s nursery photos. Who knew having a new baby would be so time consuming…HA! Now 12 weeks later I finally have a free minute to do so. I had SO much fun decorating this room and would love to share it with all of you!

We are currently renting a house (and hopefully closing on a new home in December) so I knew I couldn’t get too permanent with the design. My new best friend turned out to be those command hanging hooks & picture hangers. I used them to hang just about everything in the room. Including the Baby Shower invitations.

With a simple grey base with a white chair rail, I wanted to use white furniture and bright color accents. The only two “new” pieces in her nursery are the rocking chair (Babies R Us) and the crib (Target). The rest were refurbished pieces from friends, including the rug from Urban Outfitters.

I made the fabric bunting out of scraps of fabric and ribbons left over from the bedding my mother sewed. She did such an amazing job!

She even made this gorgeous diaper stacker to match:

I really didn’t have a “theme” with the nursery. Just went with colors I love and pieces from my own nursery. I wanted a vintage girly feel for sure.

Including this music box that was mine when I was a baby, and a vintage wall art frame from an antique store.

And probably my favorite piece in the room is the gorgeous needlepoint my own grandmother made for me. My mother gave it to me when we announced our pregnancy and I had it framed for Betty.

I’m so pleased with how it turned out. I think Betty loves it as well! I had so much fun…maybe I’ll do it again some day soon…now that’s funny!

Where’s Kerrianne and her cards? In case you are wondering why this poor little blog has been so light on content lately, I’ve been busy “crafting” away a little one in my tummy. I am almost to the 3rd trimester (2 weeks to go) and I seriously can’t believe how fast this year is flying by. To sit back and realize it will be June in a week blows my mind.

Before Baby Bowen, I was able to juggle a very demanding full time job, 2 step kids, and a blog with crafty cards. Unfortunately, with work getting even crazier, and pregnancy taking the energy out of me…you see where we have ended up. I hope you will still follow along with me when I do get to post, and I really do want to make it more of a priority!

I’ve actually found humor in some of the delirious times so hopefully I can share more of that with you in the future. I will still be playing along with WPlus9’s beautiful releases and hope to get some time this summer to play along with more challenges. I hope this finds you well…and know that I still use my lunch break to scope out all of the beautiful blogs out there. (due to the crazy firewalls at work I can’t comment on them though!)

25weeks

In baby updates our little girl is growing fast and I can’t believe we only have 3 months to go! I feel her more and more every day and can’t wait to meet her. We’ve decided on a name and I’m in love with it already. June 29th we will be doing maternity photos and I can’t wait!

Day 2 More New Goodies from WPlus9

There are so many awesome new products in the latest release from WPlus9, just one day is not enough!

First up a card featuring the gorgeous Blanket Stitched Blooms and coordinating die cut. I am in LOVE with this set. I love the “stitched” feel of the stamps, they are so fun & funky! Totally different than any stamp set I’ve seen out there of it’s kind.

The way the stamps are layered it almost gives a “colored in” feel as well. I wanted to really show of the stitching so I created a strip of the stamps using WPlus9 White Pigment Ink. Then stamped the images with black, pink, and green on the die cut pieces. Finished it off with the “Just a Note” sentiment and some jewels.

Next up a baby card featuring the Pretty Patches Umbrella set and matching die cut.

With a green card base with some polka dot patterned paper as the base, I used the awesome Folk Art Alphabet Die to cut the letters out. These are going to be a staple for sure in my stash. I love how they are the perfect size for cards!

That’s all for today…check back tomorrow for two more cards featuring the fabulous Fresh Baked stamp set & coordinating die cuts!
