Happy Monday! Hope your day is starting off not as crazy as mine…but that seems to be the story of my life lately! I did have some time this weekend to get my “craft on” – and played along with The Play Date Cafe’s Challenge #153.

Aren’t those colors just divine! I knew I wanted to use them to make one of my good friend’s daughter’s birthday card. She’s about as “girly” as they get so this color combo was perfect!

This card has lot’s of layers going on with vintage lace & punched borders. I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from RetroGirly Birthday from WPlus9. Hope you get a chance to play along as well! Have a great week!

10 Minute Craft Dash #4

This is my second post for today…so scroll down for the 3rd Day of the WPlus9 October Release…

I am super excited that WPlus9 is hosting Paulina’s 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge this week!

This is such a fun challenge! You have 10 minutes to make a project using the inspiration colors…and even though it’s definitely a challenge – it’s so much fun! I gathered some inks / papers and knew I wanted to create a fall themed Birthday card with the color combo.

Here is my take:

So I pulled out one of my favorite stamp sets from last release: WPlus9’s Happy Harvest

I started with a kraft base and embellished the Label Layers 3 die cut and stamped the sentiment. Layered it with a red crochet round and some stamping on a circle punch. A scrap piece of lace and some baker’s twine finished off this little country card.

What do you think? It was literally with 2 seconds left…so I definitely cut this one close! Make sure you check out all the fun over at Paulina’s Blog, and I hope you can play along!

10 Minute Craft Dash

So the number one reason I love making cards (other than keeping my creative sanity) is that they are quick & fun!

Of course I had to play along with Paulina’s 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge:

 

I just love those colors! I pulled out some fun & fabulous patterned papers & chipboard pieces to correspond with this card:

 

I love the “map” texture along with the “retro” feel of the car. And of course that fun font sentiment stamp from WPlus9’s A Pocketful. Luckily all the fun chipboard pieces & patterned papers made this card happen in under 10 minutes! I’m a pretty fast crafter when my mojo is right, and luckily thanks getting up early and a yummy breakfast I was ready to rock!

I hope you find at least 10 minutes in your day to make something pretty!

Happy Friday all! Man I’m so glad this week is almost over…been a long one for sure.

Here is the latest Runway Inspired Challenge:

I love the bright colors and geometric pattern. I decided to try some “shadow-boxing” with some circle cut outs to contrast the straight lines. Here is my take:

I used Wplus9’s Country Charm stamps with rich Stampin’ Up inks to create the line design on the background. Super easy and fun technique! Have a great weekend!

So yes this is a total “collage” of all kinds of crafty goodness. You can tell I had fun with this one I hope! I just love that little smile snapshot cardboard cut-out and of course the fun little pom poms!

Hope you are having a wonderful week! I’m counting down the 3 days left till I turn 30…scary but exciting!! Especially since I’ve officially lost 25 lbs! Woop! So excited! 🙂

This card was a challenge to say the least. I dug and dug through old patterned papers to find just the right combination. I just love the “spaceship” patterned paper in the background. And of course that super cute robot!

Here is my entry for this week’s CAS-UAL FRIDAYS CHALLENGE featuring a creature found in the ocean… well sort of – a fishing lure!

 

I created this fun little card for my Step-Father’s Birthday today! Happy Birthday Mike!

Super simple hand cut “waves” with patterned papers and of course the stamps & die cuts from WPlus9’s Fish More set just make this little ocean number POP! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend – Back to School tomorrow and back to the grind!!
