WCMD-13_Blog-Hop-BannerI’m so excited to join the winners of the 2012 World Card Making Day Contest! I can’t believe it’s been a year already since World Card Making Day…and I’m so flattered to be sharing another card in the “Thank You” category. I had a blast making this card featuring some of my favorite stamps and dies:

Here is a closer look at some of the details. I love how the little white pearls and lace create such an elegant effect. I would classify this card as “shabby chic” for sure!

WPlus9 Oct Release Sneak Peeks: Day 3

That’s right…one more day till full reveal of the WPlus9 stamps going on sale Oct 5!

Today we are introducing Pretty Poinsettias and Dies.

day3-1

These stamps are just divine. The depth and colors you can create with them is incredible. I really wanted the poinsettias to be the focal point of the card so I let them shine. I added some fun bling as an accent and the gorgeous “Noel” sentiment.

day3-2I love the font Dawn chose for these sentiments. So elegant and fun.

Tomorrow is the full reveal over at Dawn’s blog and make sure to check out what the rest of the DT ladies are rocking today:

day1-1

Introducing Woodland Wreaths and Dies.

Aren’t they just divine? This card was so fun to create with the gorgeous die cut pieces and stamps Dawn created. I played with some different inks to come up with this “woodland” palette. I love the way it turned out!

Dockside with WPlus9

Welcome back to my last day showing you some fun with WPlus9 products! As if the anchors weren’t enough nautical fun yesterday…check out these two little “crabbie” projects.

day3-1-1

How fun are those little nautical guys? I made this card for my stepson’s upcoming birthday. I started this card by stamping the rope pattern from Dockside Backgrounds on a white card stock base. Then I stamped the sentiments on a circle from Clear Cut Stackers: Circles.  I just love the “Lil’ Skipper” sentiment with the fun rope text from Dockside.

day3-1-2

Some twine and a die cut (adorable) crab and anchor from Dockside Die finish this little guy up. I hope my favorite lil’ skipper likes it!

Next up some feminine fun with the Dockside collection.

day3-2-1

I love how navy, pink, and orange have become such a popular color combo. It’s not one I would usually put together, but think it works great with this card theme.

I started with a pink card stock base. Then I stamped a strip of white card stock with the diamond pattern from Borders & Backgrounds 2 and the sentiments from Dockside. One super cute navy crabbie from Nautical Notions Die and some pink jewels to top it off.

That’s all from me for the August / September WPlus9 release for now. Hope you’ve enjoyed these products as much as me! Make sure to check back with Dawn the rest of this month and next to see what the Design Team has cooked up for you with the latest goodies!

Now back to the baby waiting game – 38 weeks on Monday and SO ready to meet our baby girl!

Day 2 with WPlus9

Yes I am back with more of the latest yummy products from WPlus9! I have to say I’m pretty impressed that I’m still cranking out cards being 9 1/2 months pregnant. It’s really not so bad other than the swelling and lack of sleep from being uncomfortable. Maybe the delerious-ness is making me even more creative! 🙂

When I saw these adorable banner stamps from Basic Banners I knew I wanted to keep it simple. Then of course I fell in LOVE with the anchor die cut from Nautical Notions Die.

day2-1-1

As an alumni of Delta Gamma sorority, we are kind of obsessed with anchors. For the sorority they represent “Hope” and are such a fun symbol. I love how the patterned paper really makes the anchor pop with a little bit of twine.

day2-1-2

And speaking of “Thanks” my little sister in the sorority was sweet enough to send a care package for baby Betty of darling “anchor” themed clothes! I can’t wait to see our little girl represent for Delta Gamma!

Next up something even a bit more nautical, but featuring the fabulous Monogrammed stamp set.

day2-2-1

Kraft goes beauitfully with the navy blue color of Nautical Navy Cardstock. I love the background on this card, even though the photograph doesn’t do it justice. I used Dockside Backgrounds with some gold embossing powder to create a pattern of little anchors and diamonds.

day2-2-2

You’ll see more of the Nautical Notions Die as well on this card. I used the life preserver as a frame for one of the die cuts from Clear Cut Stackers: Circles. And of course the gorgeous sailboat die cut as well.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for even more “nautical” themed cards. I even feature some crabs…which I’m obsessed with those little critters right now!

WPlus9 August / September Release

That’s right!! We are back with some fabulous new products from WPlus9! Dawn really pulled out all the stops with this release. Not only are there amazing stamps, dies, and colors…now new envelopes and even a die cut to coordinate with them. How cool is that?

Definitely two of my favorite products from this release are the Fanciful Feathers stamp set and dies…but also the A2 Envelope Liner Die:

day1-1

Can you say glamour?!? Just love it. This card also features the newest Borders & Backgrounds 2. I am obsessed with Chevron. And love how these stamps make the pattern so seamlessly on the Lake House Cardstock.

day1-1-2

For the feathers, I die cut them and then stamped with an ombre of purples and blues. By using smaller stamp pads (think Stampin’ Up samples) you can create beautiful color combos.

I was loving this color combo so much with the feathers that I decided to play with some watercolors as well:

day1-2

The larger dies of the feathers are perfect for making a big statement. And the sentiments / fonts for this set are just gorgeous. I hope you’ve enjoyed my first two projects for this release. Make sure to check back tomorrow for more fun with the latest goodies from WPlus9!

Sweets & Treats

Hope you brought your sweet tooth…because WPlus9 is on a sugar kick! That’s right I’m back with more mouth watering sweets with the Sweets & Treats stamp set and coordinating die cuts!

icecream

Check out that scrumptious ice cream…YUM! Perfect for a summer celebration. And that gorgeous blue color is the latest ink hue Lakehouse.

icecream2

And that’s just the tip of the iceburg with this set…you have cupcakes too! Why yes…my all time favorite goodie since being pregnant. I even had a co-worker pay me with some! Ha!

cupcakes

And how about coordinating cupcake wrappers and bows…Oh my! Just so much fun…you seriously have to try them out! And of course you have to try a cupcake as well 🙂

cupcakes2

Hope you’ve enjoyed these projects and my latest attempt to showcase them. We’ll be back in August for more fun from WPlus9! Stay tuned!

Fresh Squeezed

That’s right…when it’s hot outside there is nothing more refreshing than some fresh squeezed lemonade! And WPlus9’s Milk & Cookies stamp set does not disappoint!

lemonade

How fun are those colors…and the Ikat border…I can’t get enough…seriously! This card was super simple thanks to the gorgeous stamps from Milk & Cookies and Borders & Backgrounds 1.

lemonade2

My cravings with baby girl have definitely been on the sweeter side…and milk & cookies is one of my favorite treats! This card shows my love affair with the duo lately.

milk-n-cookies

Milk & Cookies really are “better together” and this stamp set is just so much fun. I LOVE the little milk carafe and accompanying straw.

milk-n-cookies2

Black and white with some Cupid’s Bow ink to add a romantic touch.

I hope your making the most of this summer fun and get your tail over to WPlus9 and order these beauties up! Check back tomorrow for one more day of goodies from the June / July WPlus9 Release!

Fresh Cut Florals

Hope you’ve had a wonderful 4th of July! Summer is definitely in full swing around here with temps in the 90’s daily! I’m so excited I {finally} get to share with you some projects from the June / July Release of WPlus9’s fabulous products.

First up…Fresh Cut Florals

onYourSpecialDay

These stamps are not only divine…they are so fun to layer! They truly create a “watercolor” style that you really don’t see with many stamps on the market today.

onYourSpecialDay2

And they even have coordinating die cuts! Here is another card that showcases the roses stamp & die cut leaves:

happy_thoughts

I’ve also used the adorable sentiment from Strictly Sentiments 2.

And one more to share…can you tell I just love these florals?

thankyou

Make sure to stop by tomorrow for more fun with the latest goodies from WPlus9! And don’t forget they are all available for purchase and fresh in stock at WPlus9.com!

10 Min Craft Dash & WPlus9

Well it’s officially May. Can you believe it?!? I know I can’t. This year is seriously flying by.

Today I am super excited to share that WPlus9 is sponsoring the latest 10 min Craft Dash over at Pretty Pink Posh! Not only do you get to play along with these gorgeous colors from Paulina:

CD_17

But you also have a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to WPlu9! Woop Woop!

CD_17_prize

Here is my take on the challenge:

cd-17-kgb

I have to admit…this was my second attempt at the challenge. The first one was just not cutting it. I think the “practice card” was worth it though because I love the way this card bloomed into a finished piece. And I was almost under a whole minute this time! That 10 minutes is tough!

photo

With a kraft base I used a strip of patterned card stock and stamped the beautiful flowers from Blanket Stitched Blooms in alternating pink & aqua and adhered it to the base. I then used a kraft tag I had in my stash to stamp the sentiment and tied it on with some twine. To finish it off two crochet flowers and a pearl to boot.

Hope you have chance to play along! And be sure to stop by Dawn’s & Paulina’s blogs to learn more!
