I have to admit. I think I’ve lost some of my crafty “mojo” the last couple of weeks. There has been SO much going on in my life lately, along with some physical things as well, it truly has been hard to find my creative spirit. I thought after the wedding I would get a nice little “break” and slowly get back to reality. Unfortunately, that was a dream. Life had different plans!

I thought I had lost all hope till I came across these fun patterned papers from my stash (Stampin’ Up!). It’s amazing how products can be so inspiring. I think that’s going to be my resolution for 2013 in my card making world. Work with products that don’t make it work! If I had all the time in the world I would love to create my own details, but unfortunately I don’t right now (and probably won’t ever!). I hope to find many more products to “inspire” me and keep me going on this crazy road ahead!

I knew I wanted to play along with Retro Sketches Challenge #46 .

The sketch is just so fun!

And I just love the how the bright turquoise base makes the sentiment stand out so well. I drew my colors from the papers and the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger. (doesn’t that bed look so cozy!)

The colors this week are gorgeous, so it was so fun to wrap up a little Valentines Card in the short 10 minute challenge.

I started by creating a fun border with the XO stamp from Love You More and some light pink ink. Then wrapped the whole card with a giant piece of green ribbon as the focal piece.

Some pink and white baker’s twine to hang a pewter little embellishment with the romantic “head over heels” sentiment.

Then I finished off the card with the “my valentine” stamp and a little bling.

So I’m a bit late on posting this…wedding CRAZY times have begun. But I just couldn’t resist sharing one more fun project from this release before they go on sale tonight at midnight!!!

Ok so I got a little carried away with this Valentine-ey Birdhouse. I just had too much fun I couldn’t stop myself!

Lot’s of love & cupids all over the place! I even added little tags with sentiments from Cupid’s Arrow Stamp Set on the rooftop. Lace, paint, pearls, rhinestones, ribbon and even baker’s twine made this little crazy project come to life.
